Is episode 201 an auspicious beginning for the next 200 or could they have chosen better.

I'm posting this over my lunch break and will come back this evening and update the post in late afternoon or early evening, once the final ratings are released.

ETA: Final ratings are now included. I was expecting to see a spike for this episode, given its significance of being the 200th episode, but there wasn't much of one. This isn't to slight the overall ratings by any means -- NCIS remains a monster on that front -- but I thought more people would tune in. Just one of the countless times I've been proven wrong throughout my life. :-)

Tv guide has produced 3 covers for the NCIS 200th episode article.

Chris Willman said if we line them up, they should create a single image. It is apparently random which cover subscribers get, so if you want a specific one, you may have to hunt for it!

There is also a bonus article posted, about favorite episodes from some of the actors, which I'll post under a cut.

Welcome welcome!!!

Hello and welcome to the community! I'm Taylor AKA BJ and I'm one of your moderators here! Please check out what we're about here: http://ncisnorom.livejournal.com/profile

A lot of us have been chatting a while, but an intro can never be a bad thing, right? Jump in and tell us about you!

As I mentioned, I answer to BJ (or Taylor, or Jet), live near Washington, DC, I'm owned by a passel of felines, and I came to NCIS via Mark Harmon. I've been a Mark fan since childhood, and when I saw he was going to be in a JAG episode, I knew I had to watch, I was even more excited to see Michael Weatherly, whom I'd watched for many years (since Loving) co-starred with Mark in the backdoor pilot.

I've been watching ever since! My favorite characters are definitely Gibbs and Tony, and my favorite episodes are Call of Silence, Bait, Flesh & Blood, Heartland, and Baltimore.

I can be found on LJ and on twitter (@JetGibbs)

Hi, folks! I'm tejas. I came late to NCIS via both my friends yammering at me to watch this way cool show that I'd love, and one of the first USA marathons that saved me from housework one Saturday. I think Judgement Day was one of the first episodes I saw "live", but I had already bought and inhaled the S1 - S4 DVDs and, um, ahem, 'acquired' the S5 episodes I'd missed (I've since paid for S5 - I feel so virtuous :-)

Like my fellow mod, my favorite characters are Gibbs and Tony, followed by Abby and Ducky. I had loved Michael Weatherly in Dark Angel and had anyone bothered to tell me he was in NCIS, I'd've been watching from day 1. While I've definitely come to appreciate Mark Harmon's work, I'd managed to miss most of his career. Yes, I've been kicking myself for several years for that.

I live in Houston, have a grown daughter who's setting off to college in the fall. I hope she takes her fish with her. I like my grandfish, but. yeah. Take him with you, please, sweetie. :-)

My favorite episodes? I agree with Taylor's and would add Requiem, A Man Walks Into a Bar, Nature of the Beast... and because it's the first one I saw on that long ago marathon, I've always had a soft spot in my heart for The Curse. Oh! And Eye for an Eye. :-)

I can be found on LJ and twitter (@tejasjulia) as well!

So...what about you? Tell us a little about yourself and how you came to be an NCIS fan!
